At MRHD, we believe in playing for a purpose. As the nonprofit Qualified Sponsoring Organization (QSO) and official gaming license holder for Woodbury County, we team up with Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – Sioux City to turn gaming revenue into community impact. By law, a portion of every dollar earned comes back to us—and we’re all in on giving it back. Through strategic grantmaking, we invest in bold ideas and local efforts that level up quality of life for everyone in Woodbury County. Because when our community wins, we all win.
MRHD was formed in 1989 when Woodbury County voters approved a referendum that sanctioned gaming. A second referendum passed by 75 percent in 2002. The third referendum passed by 77 percent in 2010.
